Choral Celebration Evening
Wednesday 13th March 2013, 7.00pm
Kendal Parish Church
A very special feature of Festival week, the Choral Celebration Evening brings together SATB choirs to present a short programme of their own choice for shared enjoyment and inspiration. Each choir's programme should last not more than 20 minutes, including introductions, and, in keeping with our theme celebrating the Britten centenary, choirs are welcome to include a Britten piece in their programme if they like.

The evening will begin with a short vocal workshop conducted by Michael Hancock, a highly experience choral director. The Festival Chorale will be performed as a conclusion to the evening's entertainment by all choirs together (copies will be provided). If they so choose, choirs can have the benefit of Michael's expertise in the form of a private, written, comment - but this is entirely optional.

Choirs are invited to apply to take part using this form. The final running order will be decided by ballot, but please let us know of any particular considerations.

Audience welcome £6 (18 years and under free).
