Our Festival of Song takes place tomorrow evening (Friday 18th March - adult singers) and all day Saturday 19th March (children), at St Thomas's Church, Kendal. We have more than 80 singers registered to perform, and audience admission is free. It would be nice, though, if you would consider making a small donation towards the costs of this event and next year's Festival.
This weekend's event starts at 6.30pm on Friday, and continues from 10am on Saturday, with classes for Disney songs, Musical Theatre Songs, and a Rock & Pop class.
Everyone is welcome.

Congratulations! ...

Welcome to the Mary Wakefield Festival ...

Taking place in Kendal, this biennial Festival has been part of Westmorland's musical life since 1885 when Mary Wakefield, daughter of a Kendal Quaker banking family and a keen musician, assembled local choirs to sing and compete together.

Many of the trophies to be won by entrants to the various classes date from the earliest days of the Festival.

The 2023 Festival takes place from 13th to 18th March 2023
The 2025 Festival takes place from 8th to 15th March 2025

If you wish to support the Festival financially, a Sponsorship form can be found here.
